Re: Storing hot food in Lock and Lock

I always let food cool first no matter what it is stored in.  Sometimes I just put the pan in the frig.  Horrors.  Good Housekeeping magazine once had a feature about how much you raise the temperature inside the refrigerator by putting in hot food.  It was a real eye opener.  So you are putting your family in danger by heating other foods beyond safe storage temperatures over and over again.

Re: Storing hot food in Lock and Lock

I always put food in the fridge right away, to cut down on bacteria. But I don't seal the lid, just put it on top "upside down". When everything has cooled down, I then seal the lid.
