Stopped a t a food stand today

I purchased the most sweetest watermelon and sweetcorn(Peaches and Cream.)It was actually very reasonable too.

Weather has been tolerable today, with lower 80 s.Friday night we had bad storms which knocked my power out for a few hrs.I absolutely hate when this happens(which seems alot lately)

Everyone, hope your work goes well.I have a meeting with my director about a previous post.Hope all goes well.

@Luvsmyfam :  Yum, that sounds so good. I planted watermelons but my garden did not grow well this year so no watermelons.

We ate delicious corn-on-the cob for dinner tonight.  It was $3.50 for a dozen at a local market.  We had delicious cantaloupe for dessert from the same local market.  All grown locally.  So tasty and  nutritious; I love getting fresh produce this time of year.

@maximillian - WOW, $3.50 a dozen is a real bargain! Locally the corn trucks are $7 a dz here, Walmart was cheaper yesterday @ 0.50/ear but it was really good. We don't eat much corn on the cob, both of us have corn issues! LOL. . .

We go to a local vegetable market about every other day in season.   Love the heirloom tomatoes and like to get them as fresh as possible.  There are several markets near my home and I try to give everyone a little business.

That's the best part of summer season to me:  fresh  local produce and fruits.  We are surrounded by peach orchards and strawberry fields.

What great prices!  I live rural.  Our local corn is just coming for sale.  $10.00 a dozen (though they give you 14 ears).   Aren't many deals to be had here at the farmers' markets and stands.  They keep their prices the same or higher then the grocery stores.

But I have to say, farmers deserve it.  It is hard work and their expenses are high.
