This afternoon I tried (for the second time) to use the slicing feature - and again it was a failure. If anyone who purchased the recent TSV could help me I would be very thankful. I used the Drive Adaptor and the Slicing Adaptor shown on page 8 of the instruction manual as (I think) the instructions explained. ((And while I'm asking what is that other Disc Adaptor for??)) Then I added the metal slicer disc. Next I tried adding my small bowl but could not get it to fit properly - so I resigned myself to using the large bowl. Got it all together, adjusted the thickness (veggies) to the thickest setting and went to work. My carrots were paper thin as was my squash. I tried putting several mushrooms down the smaller shaft - guided by the pusher - and they came out a diced mess.
I cleaned the processor and am set to send it back tomorrow unless some angel comes along to give me step by step instructions. I still really want to love this thing, but I could have cut my veggies by hand and been out of the kitchen in next to no time.
Help please.

I feel your pain and can't help you because I don't have one.
I have a food processor in the box, never been opened!
BUT, it may help if you view the videos from the actual TSV. Maybe?

There were two or three other threads about people having problems in these exact areas, with this item. There were links and information posted. You might go back on this forum a week or so and you'll see them. ![]()

I fell for it because I assumed that it was very easy to assemble. Wish they would post an on-line video addressing my issue and taking us step by step but I'm sure it will be too late as I will be boxing this thing up tomorrow.Have you tried going to YouTube.com, then putting kitchenade food processor in subject line. Then click search? You will see a bunch of videos posted that show how to use it. Some videos are QVC demos, but I see others posted by everyday people showing how it works for them.

I do not think the slicing s=disc was meat to be used with the smaller bowl, and you may be using mushrooms too bug fir that portion of the feed tube.
As for slicing try slicing on the thinnest setting and compare with the thickest to see if there is a noticeable difference. Maybe you are expecting thicker slices than the machine was designed to do.

Maybe this vid would help, Benzgirl. At about 3 min, 44 sec, until about 7 min 30 sec, she addresses the slicing problem, shows how the machine needs to be set up, and demos thick and thin slices. Best of luck.

It appears that's where I made my mistake too. You know what they say about third time being the charm - I will give this one more try, putting it together the way the You Tube video explains. Thank you so much, sweet ladies. I'll give it one more try and let you know. I sure want to love this little machine!Maybe this vid would help, Benzgirl. On 2/5/2015 Lynnj said: I don't have this, but just wondering....have you tried setting it to the thinnest setting to see what kind of slice you get? Maybe the settings inside the machine have been set up incorrectly when it was built. You say you get paper thin slices on thickest setting, maybe you will get thick slices on thinnest setting?Lynnj...that's a good thought. If that's the case, it would be a manufacturer's defect - so keep your fingers crossed for me that maybe it's my own error and simply a matter of user error.
