Still Buying Fiestaware (aka Fiestaware thread, Part 2)

Hi, Everyone.

Meezer:  Sorry to hear about your sage bowl.  How do you like the color?  Personally, I think it is a color that you have to see in person as the computer monitors don't show the color saturation as well.  Once I received my sage fruit bowl, I thought I liked it better than the computer presentations.

Why do you think they poofed your post?  Had you copied and pasted directly from the Facebook page?  Is that now not allowed?  I also saw where savings codes are going to be poofed, too.  Oh, my, how will we share our Kohl's codes and other codes?  Sometimes that is the determining factor of whether I purchase or not.  Am I understanding you correctly---we can no longer copy and paste?  Is that like text and pictures, just test, or does it mean we can't do any?

Oh, my gosh, Shoekitty, that egg on an avocado sounds delicious.  And, I would drop the cayenne and use the bacon on top.  Thanks for the idea and the link.

Shoekitty, Schatzi and Katie don't get along well enough to do the drink from the refrigerator trick, but it is so cute.  Where do you find these?  Thanks for sharing and giving us a laugh or two.

Jenn27, it's so nice that you are having some time with your daughter.  Have fun.  I hope your jam jars are adorning your kitchen by now.  I like the idea of those two colors together.

Oceantown, sounds like you had a busy but a really nice day a couple of days ago.  However, sorry to hear about your one bowl.  When I used to do ceramics, I had to be very diligent in cleaning the brushes so a color previously used wouldn't show up when the piece was fired.  And, then loading the kiln is an art so items don't fall over and accidently color other pieces or break.  I'm wondering if they want the piece back so they can get credit from HL.  I think some places are tightening up their return policies so they can control the $$$$ loss due to damage, whatever the cost.

This coming Tuesday is my radiofrequency ablation.  I am vacillating in my feelings.  I am so hoping it will work and cannot imagine the disappointment if it doesn't work.  So, I'm going to have to shore up my outlook and go in with a positive outlook.

"Talk" with everyone later.  If I don't have a chance to post before, please enjoy your weekend.

I just got off the phone with Kohl's.  I can keep the Sage fruit dish but they will refund my money.  In addition, the CS rep put information in my account that will allow me to buy another Sage fruit dish when they come in stock.  I will get the same price with 30% off and free shipping.  He gave me a reference number that I can use to alert CS.  I am very pleased with that!

As for the color Sage, I am still not very fond of it.  Mr. Meezer was trying to tell me how well it looks as an accent piece--LOL!  I think he is head over heels with Sage.

Wismiss--I simply cut and pasted the article about the HL fire.  It printed just fine but the moderators deleted the post and I couldn't tell you why.  Worse things are posted in these forums.  What I cannot seem to do is take a stock picture and cut and paste it here in this forum like I used to.  The last picture that I posted of the multi-color rose bush, I had to save in my picture file in this computer and then upload it.  That is at least one step more than I want to make.  This site is a pain.

I canned some blueberry preserves this afternoon.  Now I am too tired to move.  See you in the AM, ladies.

Hello to everyone!  Wismiss, I just wanted to wish you good luck on your procedure.  Be sure and let us know how that went.

Sorry your bowls were not in perfect shape; that's kind of why I quit buying online unless I find a perfect item on ebay.

Hope you all have a terrific weekend!! Heart

Shoekitty--love the picture--LOL!  I should be so lucky.  Instead, Claudia likes to weave around my feet while I am trying to move quickly, getting hot jars out of a almost boiling water, ladelling hot food and then trying to get to the hot canning pot.  Great fun for her.  Ever tell a cat to,  "GO LIE DOWN!" as if she was a dog?  I think that she takes it as a personal challenge to how fast she can dart around my legs.  Naturally, when I am done, she has tired herself out and goes to take a nap.

Cats--you gotta love them otherwise ...

Kutira--you are absolutely correct. It is a pain in the tail to order Fiesta and then find flaws.  It is the reason that I go to the store and look at each piece if I am buying a place setting.  Too mamy pieces and too many things that could be wrong to trust buying online except from trusted small shops like

DishesFast (got my Chartreuse place setting there).

Wismiss--I hope that your operation is a total success.  The trial sure gave you positive results for a while.

Hi, hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Wismiss, I can't figure out how the bowl got that dark spot.  It looks like something in the clay, rather than glaze color.  But, I don't know.

I have not received the email with the return label yet.  But, I did receive the email with the tracking info for the new heart bowl.

I hope your procedure goes well on Tuesday.  I am praying for you!

Meezer, glad to hear Kohl's is taking care of you.

It sounds like Mr. Meezer really does like sage.  I think our Son-in-law really likes it too.  I remember a couple years ago he was talking about hoping to get a new green shade.  We gave daughter money for her birthday, and she is talking about fiesta shopping!

Blueberry preserves, that is a big job, Meezer!  Sounds delicious.

Kutira, so good to hear from you.

Shoekitty, loved your kitty helper picture!  hahaha!

This is a picture of the dark spot on the outside of one of my heart bowls:

Had some fun with my fiesta heart bowls!  I have not packed the flawed bowl for returning yet, so took some photos.

I like the small rice bowl with the hearts.

Ocean--you take the prettiest pictures!  I love your arrangement of hearts.  It is a shame that you were sent the heart with the mark on it.  It is so much trouble to have to get another and make sure that it is OK.  I hope that they send you a nice one this time.

Meezer, thank you so much! You are so sweet.

Yeah, when I opened that box I was admiring them and thought they were so beautiful and perfect. But, then I turned them both over.

That spot is very noticeable if the heart is used in the place-setting across from you because that side would be facing you and at that angle it is visible. (If I described that correctly!)

Thanks again!
