Re: Still Buying Fiestaware (aka Fiestaware thread, Part 2)

I just saw your other comments about leaving negative feedback. You and Shoekitty agree that I should, if for no other reason than to alert other people. I really don't care if I get the money back as much as I want to let others know how dishonest she is. Honestly, at this point I don't want the hassle of returning the stupid saucer. lol...

Divine

Yes, if for no other reason than to alert people. The problem is these things happen often and most people let it go. I know, as friends have told me about getting "ripped" off on ebay. They never report it as they don't have the time they say. or it is too much trouble. Thus, the seller gets away with it, and continues until it finally snowballs on them.

The trouble is you have to find a way to get point across in feedback in so little space! i think they give you so many characters

Somehow you have to get across you are a long time collector. That this piece is not Marigold, but Sunflower as a fact. Then that seller was rude about it

Meezer those colors are Apricot and Periwinkle I believe. The mugs are separate. The only mug I know that came with a set is the ring handle and the square mug with square plates. These are my favorite mugs. Otherwise sets were sold with cup and saucer. But maybe a store had an exclusive?

Meezer: $22.95 for chartreuse on LA Dishes. Guess that's not much less than on ebay.

Shoekitty -- thanks for the kind words about my DH. He was so frustrated last night, but I tried to tell him he had to give it time. This morning things were better and as the day has progressed, his sight is getting even more clear. Now that he knows what to expect, next week's procedure and after effects will be better.

Hey Fiestanistas -

I just found out if you go on HL's site to order and use the promo code drag10, you will get a 10% discount. I don't know how long this code is good for, but I just put something in my cart and tried it and it worked. Of course, it figures that right now I don't need a thing, but if anyone wants to pre-order some of the items in the two new colors, give it a try.

Re: Still Buying Fiestaware (aka Fiestaware thread, Part 2)

Wismiss and 3d--yes, that is the bowl and the color. Has anyone bought from this vendor before "just dishes"?

Getting a little nervous about ebay purchases after Divine's experience. This vendor has named seconds as well as 1st quality.

Shoekitty--thanks for the info. The seller must have replaced the cup/saucer or original mug with those Denver mugs or HL packaged place settings like that a long time ago--maybe a factory only combination like the Java mug is currently. I saw another vendor selling a similar Apricot set.

ETA--just bought the last Chartreuse small bowl, a Juniper small bowl and DH's Evergreen fruit bowl (all named 1st quality in title) from the seller "just dishes". At least this seller is set up to adjust shipping charges before making the purchase. It went well. I just hope that my idea of first quality is the same as the seller's--LOL!

Thanks for the reminder, Wismiss, that I still needed to finish my Chartreuse place setting and this will do just that.

Thanks to 3d for the coupon for HL.

Re: Still Buying Fiestaware (aka Fiestaware thread, Part 2)

I need some input from you expert Fiestaware collectors. Last year I purchased, paprika and tAngerine. I want to add one more color but not sure what to go with. I was thinking of Poppy. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Dogluvrtoo -- I love the way that sounds. To get a better idea, I went to HL's site and put it into their Colorama option.
