Is anyone finding steak fries in their supermarkets? The two supermarkets near me are completely out and have been for about a month. They're my preferred fry and the shelves are empty of them. I'm not finding anything current on a fry shortage. There were shortages in 2019-2021, but nothing current. I don't know if it's just my stores that are out, or if it's a more universal issue.

@gardenman ............My Walmart has plenty of steak fries.  What I cant find since the pandemic is Idaho Potato's OBrien.

Sorry I can't help as I rarely buy frozen fries of any kind.  I will look just out of curiosity.

I haven' been able to find Tetley tea bags.  Regular black tea, 100 in a box.  I have substituted another brand but I prefer Tetley.

I am guessing supply chain issues?  Maybe a glut of these missing items will appear soon.

@gardenman I checked online at our HEB. They have a store brand of steak fries, but not a national brand. The Walmart across the street from HEB has Great Value steak fries and Red Robin seasoned steak fries.

@Imaoldhippie Walmart has Ore Ida Potatoes O'Brian available for curbside pickup.  I think the problem is with the distributor supplying the area's stores. In fact, we can readily buy potatoes O'Brian but have difficulty getting Ore Ida shredded hash browns.

@On It ...........Our local Walmart, or regular grocery stores do not have the Ore-Ida OBrian here.  Dont know why but cant find them anywhere.  The generic brands are just not as good.  Im in NC by the way.

Lately a lot of items have gone missing.  So I feel your pain.

Stores seem to focusing on certain large brand names.  To our detriment.  I have seen it here with the Albertsons / Safeway merger.  Getting both expensive and boring out there.

The whole grocery business, how shelf space is allocated, and which products are placed is a mystery to me. I have had a response when I requested a product and was told their distributor did not offer that product from the brand. That was in West Texas, but I had purchased it for years in the Texas Hill Country.

Probably a warehouse issue in your area.  I have at least 6 different stores within a driving distance of 5 or 6 minutes from my house and they all have steak fries and other types.  Associated Foods is the warehouse in my State.
