Starting my pumpkin spice shopping

WM order arrives tomorrow, will look further on Amazon. Already have a cute Pumpkin Spice candy dish in my cart to hold my Werthers pumpkin spice caramels. I will hit up Aldi's eventually. Love their PS cocoa. May be a bit early yet, although I did find pumpkin popcorn there a few days ago. Smiley Happy Only thing I won't buy is pumpkin flavor coffee (don't like flavor coffee) and no creamer. Otherwise...bring on the pumpkin spice everything!! Any other PS nuts out there? Stores should make it easy and have a PS aisle. Smiley Happy

Re: Starting my pumpkin spice shopping

I believe I've seen the pumpkin spiced cereal on the grocery shelves. Didn't focus on which ones since I no longer buy cereal.

The only pumpkin spice items I buy are candles, liquid hand soap, and coffee (preferably whole bean).  I used to look forward to the pumpkin spice and peppermint mocha creamers, but not anymore.  I have a recipe to make my own but I doubt I'll make it.  I'll bake some pumpkin spice treats throughout the season.   I bought my Dove liquid hand soaps last week.  I almost bought coffee yesterday but I still have a lot of flavors to go through so I decided not to get the PS this time.  Soon though.

Re: Starting my pumpkin spice shopping

I don't think pumpkin spice items taste like pumpkin or have any pumpkin in them.  They taste like the spices you would use with pumpkin products...like cinnimon, nutmeg, ginger and allspice

I have never seen any pumpkin flavors in pumpkin spice.  It's only the spice without the pumpkin.

Re: Starting my pumpkin spice shopping

You are probably right @Carmie. But this stuff flies off the shelf which is why I am shopping early. Most will go in freezer for later. I made 4 "real" pumpkins breads today. Two with nuts, two without. Those are in the freezer waiting to enjoy with cooler weather, and of course a cup of pumpkin spice tea. Yum! Cooler won't hit TX for a while yet, but freezer is stocked. I'm ready. Smiley Happy

@yellowrose   You're a smart lady.  It is a good idea to bake goodies for later and put them in the freezer.

I have some banana bread in my freezer.  It seems I get a lot of overripe bananas.

We buy pumpkins and cook them down and seive them to make pumpkin puree. We freeze that to make pies all winter long.

I was in the grocery store today and the cereal I saw on the endcap was the Pumpkin Spiced Special K.
