Well, I've been making green smoothies and soups in my Vitamix. I try to make the smoothie mix first, quick rinse, and then make the soup. Many of the ingredients are the same.
Anyhow, I've been making smoothie 'concentrates'. I add extra oatmeal, (raw, uncooked) to the mixture. Fill glasses 3/4 full, cover with plastic and refrigerate. The oatmeal thickens the smoothie. When I'm ready to drink it, I thin it with milk, stir it up. I think it tastes better after it sits overnight.
This just saves time, and 'stretches' my ingredients a little. Minimizes clean-up with the Vitamix, too.
