Slow Cooker Suggestions

After a kitchen mishap the other day, I am in the market for a new slow cooker. The larger 7 & 8 quart capacity models are what I am leaning towards so that I have the option to double recipes.

Any models or features that you would either suggest I look at or avoid at all costs?
