Any of your recipes would make me completely happy. I've even made one with a can of gumbo soup and it tasted good - I just didn't like seeing rice in my sloppy joe...looked like tiny worms.

The only thing/s I add to @Foxxee/'s recipe is chopped celery along w/ the onion. And then for a twist and because of the touch of sweetness w/ the brown sugar, I season with apple pie spice.

 

Then, it has to be served on some kind of bun.

The McCormick Spice Co. often rescues me from having to arrive at a perfect seasoning for a dish.........this time the Sloppy Joe seasoning packets.

 

All you need is some ground beef and  either some tomato sauce or tomato paste (with water if using the paste).  Sauce thickens in a matter of minutes with the seasoning packet.

 

I do add a little Worcestershire and sometiimes some chopped onions and green peppers when browning the beef.

 

 So easy to fix and a good use (in our house) for  leftover hamburger or hot dog buns.
