Sigh! Christmas and Food Again!

[ Edited ]

I noticed that there are a lot of Christmas shows on again, after a whole month of it in July.  Sigh!  I just looked ahead to see if there were any kitchen shows this weekend and what did I find?  Christmas food edition on ITKWD this Sunday!  I should be used to it by now but still I'm disappointed.   :smileysad:

@Melzie  I'm one of those folks who LOVE Christmas shows. However, I can't say the same for the holiday food shows. Why can't ITKWD do kitchen gifts for a Christmas themed show? I'm well into thinking about gifts for my family, and I could certainly use some ideas for new gadgets, etc.

I Love the Christmas shows and will be watching all day except for David.  I love his show but I prefer gadgets to food so I will just do other things during that show then tune back in when it is over.

Re: Sigh! Christmas and Food Again!

A food show is not for everyone but remember there are people in the food industry that need to make money in order to survive and some of these businesses are small business owners. We need to think about others and  David and the other hosts have no control of that. I am a small business person and my business suffered this year because of COVID 19 but I did stay in business while others had to close. Just remember it took a long time to build their business and they need our help to feed their families.

It gets kinda old because it's so ridiculous.

There are a zillion things on tv that I don't want to watch.  Know what I do?  You guessed it - I don't watch!   It's easy.  I choose the things I want to see and ignore the others because I know that everybody doesn't like what I like and I don't like what everybody else likes.   The world does not revolve around me.  That's always a good thing to know.  Smiley Happy

If the food shows weren't money-makers (i.e. there are enough people who purchase from them to make them profitable) they wouldn't be on.  It really is just that simple.

Re: Sigh! Christmas and Food Again!

I have ordered one holiday item that will arrive on November. I'm also waiting to see if they have a Cheryl's cookie TSV. I'd love to try one of her sets, so many to chose from, but I haven't ordered yet. Do they usually have a TSV of her cookies, anyone know?

@LisaMofSLC - There is typically a Cheryl's TSV during the latter half of the year, and there are often One Time Only values and similar deals as well. In fact, right now, there's a Weekly Special Value for a fall collection, if you're interested...

@LisaMofSLC - P.S. The cinnamon frosted pumpkin cookies offered in that fall assortment are deeeelicious!  Smiley Happy

@LisaMofSLC - In case you're still looking, there's a Cheryl's One Time Only value today for a snack-size cookie assortment, available for a one-time delivery or auto-delivery. We did the auto-delivery on this set last fall (just ended last month) and really enjoyed the slightly smaller cookies with the variety that was offered throughout the year. Just type ONE TIME ONLY in the search bar to find the two options.

ETA: The Cheryl's deal is being presented on ITKWD tonight if you want to see the cookies live and get more detailed descriptions...
