Re: Show Case Your State's Finest: if you had a fruitcake made from the fruit from your state, what would it be?

Sheep and cattle here, too. No. 1 lettuce producer in the world. We also grow cotton and hay........so, I don't think there will ever be an Arizona fruitcake(!) I love them, though.

Oranges, lemons, grapefruit, pecans and grapes are all grown in AZ.

I don't like fruitcake, but that combo would make an interesting one! {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

I'm from MA, of course the cranberry is our state fruit. I don't like fruit cake, no one in my family likes fruit cake. But I was curious and I did find a recipe for cranberry fruit cake.

No matter where you get your fruitcake, guess where the bakers get their candied fruit.....

Missouri - Primarily black walnuts topped with crushed hickory nuts and almonds. Lots of apples and pears. Toss in a few gooseberries and strawberries. Flavor with blackberry or plum wine.
