Shipping chocolate items during warm weather

I purchased the Landes fall chocolate pretzels that will ship on 9/30. That was the only available date. I live in South Texas and we still have hot weather in September. Does anyone have experience with how qvc or particularly landes ships chocolate when it's hot weather? Customer Service doesn't know.

@Bertha19 - When I've ordered Landies Candies pretzels in the past, they have been shipped in a cardboard box with no cool packs. I'm sure you have a specific flavor combination you were trying for, but it may be worthwhile to try a different one so you can choose a later date if you're worried about melting. Good luck!

Why not contact the company directly, they probably ship out direct from their factory, not from the Q.

Re: Shipping chocolate items during warm weather

Hello @Bertha19  and welcome to the board...I stopped ordering chocolates during the summer months because of the weather. Most of the chocolate orders did not ship with cool packs and I had several shipments that arrived melted. Like @loriqvc suggested I would see if you can pick another ship date to ensure you are able to enjoy your pretzels!

@Shelbelle sometimes you can get better deals when ordering from the Q. I have ordered direct from the factory and the items cost more and the shipping was much higher.

You misunderstand what I meant, i did not mean to order from the factory, I meant to call their CS and ask about the shipping , they probably ship out Q orders from their plant in Buffalo rather than from the Q.

@Shelbelle my apologies...if I am not mistaken the orders are sent from the factory and none are shipped with cool packs.

Knowing that it's still very hot in Texas well into October, you should not have ordered chocolate.  If that was the only available date, you should have passed.
