I like this brand of side dishes, and recently I tried the Spanish style brown rice with quinoa , peppers and corn. It is filling, well seasoned, but not overly and it is in a pouch that takes 90 sec. In the microwave.  I had it with a stir fry, but it would be great as a side with any protein. I like quick and easy and this fills the bill.

Oh yeah...  Love this stuff!  We buy the Quinoa and Brown Rice version at Costco (a box of the packs like the grocery store has), but we've tried other versions and they've all been good.

I use it for a salad that has the packet of quinoa/rice (cold), rinsed black beans, corn, chopped tomatoes, chopped cilantro, diced red onion, red pepper flakes to taste, and some lime juice and olive oil to dress it a bit.  Yum!

It's such a great thing to have on hand... just check out the spice cabinet for inspiration and go from there.

@QVCkitty1  Healthy and easy-prep sounds great! I will have to check into this brand.

@WRXtooThanks for posting this. That salad sounds delish, though I don't think my hubs would go for it.  LOL

@WRXtoo , Your salad sounds yummy, I will definitely try it. There is no Costco in my area, but I get good deals on Amazon.

We have tried the Quinoa. We didn't like it. DH said it tastes like chewy rubber?
