Bread should be $12/loaf by July so some are ahead of the curve.

I still bake by hand, no machine. Nothing fancy but far better than the grocery.

Girl, you know that song by Hank Williams, Jr.

'Country boy can survive' ?

People like us can survive making our own bread whatever way.

Boil a pot of beans for less then a dollar

so forth and so on.

'Country girl can survive'.   LOL

Let's hope it don't come to that, but, I can peel a potato, make my own soup, etc.  I don't need walmart pick up or drive thru LOL

Re: See the Cuisinart bread maker sold out

@SharkE   I have a Cuisinart bread machine that I purchased from Williams Sonoma (for more money), early on during this pandemic and waited about 4 months for it.  It's small but makes a good size loaf.

It's a great machine and I use it all the time.  I use a basic recipe on the light setting where you put the liquid in with the yeast and let it sit for 10 minutes and then the dry ingredients go in.

Congrats on those that bought it today - you won't be disappointed.

I have a Cuisinart bread maker, the compact one.  It's a great machine.   Paid $80 from Williams Sonoma.

Re: See the Cuisinart bread maker sold out

after watching the presentation still looked nice, but, the pan looked small and only has one paddle.

My ZO has 2 paddles and the loaf pan is about twice that size, but, I know a Zorushi bread machine is pricey.
