Aldi's shoppers, keep your eyes peeled for this treat. Just smell the top of the breadbag. It's fantastic!

I'm on my third loaf. Will buy a few for the freezer next time I'm out.

Do you toast it? Might be nice with a little cream cheese!

My Aldi is out of their Pumpkin Spice coffee every time I go. Booooo!

yes, great lightly toasted and buttered @Dragonflyveb. Cream cheese sounds good!

I have ginger preserves, will try that combo today.

It’s fabulous! We like it well toasted with lots of butter and a cup of English tea.

That's "Duerr's" brand Ginger Chunky Preserves.

I buy a 6-pak at a time when it's on sale at World Market. That lasts me about a year.

Tried another imported brand of ginger preserves, jar was a little smaller. Wasn't nearly as good. Not even close, really.

Not as ginger-y, and sweetened up for the American palette.   😖  yuk!

edit- tried it last nite: toasted, with the ginger preserves.

will stick to using just butter.

@x Hedge

Thanks so much for your recommendation! I had to run out to my Aldi's to see if they have it. They did. Yeh! I had to toast a piece when I got home and it is so good. I'm going to go back and get some more to freeze too.

Re: Seasonal Treat at Aldi's

This is such an ironic post!  I just came from Aldi and purchased this exact same bread.  We had a new Aldi that just opened a few days ago.  I hadn't shopped at an Aldi in probably the last year because the next closest one was too far away and it had gotten gotten of crummy inside.  I'm so excited to now have one closer to my house and the architecture is much more pleasant.  Anyway, we love pumpkin seeds in our house so this bread looked interesting to me.  Can't wait to try it tomorrow morning!
