@CindyDale Many of the non stick kitchen items specifically include in their instructions to NOT use those sprays in a can. They actually negatively affect the non-stick finish.
I just use a light film of butter using the wrapper from a stick of softened butter (or the saved empty wrappers from finished sticks that I keep in my freezer) and I always use the Dobie pads and some blue Dawn dish detergent.
I also try to avoid buying "non stick" kitchen items. Just me-- I prefer cooking and baking without the chemical wonders.
My Significant Other for eighteen years who passed away in 2021 had a couple of Italian non stick fry pans he loved using for eggs which I had just replaced for him but they just sit in a base cabinet now. I use my All Clad stainless skillets and pans or my Le Creuset enameled cast iron.
I've used the Scrub Daddy but still prefer my Dobie pads.
Added: Guess a lot of us were posting about manufacturers' instructions for non stick at the saame time!
