@Sooner

I love sardines but have to be in the mood to eat them, I usually eat them on crackers, I'll have to look for the King Oscar Mediterranean style today when grocery shopping, thanks for the tip.😊

I love canned wild salmon too, my mom used to drain the water out and put the salmon in a bowl, add a little olive oil and thinly sliced red onion on top and eat it with crackers or sometimes with rice.  I eat it that way quite often.

That sounds good, too. Sometimes I make my 'tuna' salad with salmon instead of tuna. Not a fan of tuna so I use canned salmon and I love it that way.Woman Happy

Tinned seafood lovers unite!  We are often a scorned group! Woman LOL

I will say Amazon has sure opened up a new world for us!  There are so many good sardines from places other than Asia, and brands you will never see in a grocery store here!  So keep us posted when you find new brands or ways to use canned seafoods!

I especially love the King Oscar and Santo Amaro brands of sardines and tuna, but also Matiz makes good sardines.

It is fun to try new seafoods--and not a great loss if you don't find a new favorite.

Love quinoa. I have a wonderful SW quinoa salad recipe. Would never have thought to put quinoa with sardines. Might have to give it a try.

@Sooner I eat sardines once or twice a week. They are a good source of protein and Omega 3s. I don't eat quinoa but I know that's another healthy food item. I eat the sardines for lunch with either Sprouts multigrain crackers or put them in a salad. I've loved them since I was a kid.

I like Quinoa too.  I started to eat it because it is gluten free.

@Carmie My SO went to give me a kiss goodbye the other day while I was eating lunch and when he saw that I was eating sardines he made a face and said "never mind" and then blew me a kiss instead.

@mare54 SW?  South West?  We love quinoa with bell peppers, onions, cucumbers, and salsa.  Sometimes with avocado, but also with sardines--for me--or tuna.

Would love to know what your SW salad has!
