I just did 2 chickens today. it got up in the low 60's so I took the top off the smoker out on the patio and got with it. Nothing better then your own smoked chicken best 300 I ever spent. LOL

Haven't tried a brisket yet. Those things are pricey ! At least 20 for even the 2 of us. It would take 8 hrs at least. Plan to do it though in the summer. I fixed brisket browned in oven, then pressure cooked. Fine eating........LOL Made my own French bread Thurs. that was as good as Sam's Club's. I should weigh 400 lbs. as much as I like to cook. LOL

Oh.....I just love to bake bread....I do not eat it here, but take it to work and share, as beating and kneading, if I do not use the Kitchen Aid for this, is just so good for my mind....{#emotions_dlg.thumbup1} I am wanting a gas grill, as I so miss mine, and have not had one in 8 years, but it is so much easier for me being a family of one, and the humidity has me sometimes when it comes to the charcoal thing.....AND, I am not using the smoker for just me alone either.....Wink

The Masterbuilt elec cooker that they push on the Q all the time. Bought mine in 'red' (cinnamon). I don't mess with gas to dangerous, and you have to go buy it,haul the tank around, etc. if you want more of a smoky flavor I buy that smoke in a bottle. Pour melted butter over the chicken, salt and pepper it then hit with the liquid smoke. Fine eating over on at Susy's house. LOL

I that a cross against my wolves..........{#emotions_dlg.sneaky}

I am still leaning toward gas, as I have a smoker box for the gas grill as well.......Hey...I used to meet up with John McLemore and his family often,as I dated someone that was good friends with them, in Columbus, and used to hang with Beth Bickerstaff, who's family started CharBroil, back when the bricks and grills and such were made in Columbus, GA.......Needless to say, I am looking at a CharBroil grill that I like...{#emotions_dlg.thumbup1}

I had a Charbroil electric grill, not smoker, just grill, that was good. lasted forever. Good stuff.

I'm enjoying this smoker really does a good deal. cheaper then going to a bbq restaurant and paying 25 and up for ribs. I make my own in the smoker now, chickens, turkeys. Need to do roasts next. Summer is coming hahhahaha

Roast, IMO, is better after wrapped in foil, and allowed to sit for a while after smoking, or even better the next day, with a more defined smokey flavor.......I also mix up my woods together, and do not use just one wood........Cool
