I bought some rhubarb and decided to make a smoothie.

3/4 cup cut up rhubarb

1 cup frozen strawberries

1/2 cup frozen blueberries

1 Persian cucumber (because I had it and it needs to be eaten)

some pomegranade seeds

2 dates

nuts

some goji berries

flax seeds

2 tablespoons yogurt

a little bit of raw ginger

water

Tastes pretty good - not too tart and not too sweet

Sounds great! I have a Nutribullet, and am always looking for different options. Never thought of Rhubarb, or dates for that matter.

I heard a nutritionist on TV say that soaking pomegranate seeds for a bit before eating (or throwing in smoothie) releases more of "what health benefit" it offers. Not sure why, because the TV was background noise, until I heard her say that. Just a bit of trivia.

Thanks for the recipe {#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

I started out wanting to make a smoothie with only rhubarb, strawberries, and blueberries, but then I saw all the other stuff and tossed them in.

Actually, I don't really like pomegranate seeds because they are too sweet, but I thought they would sweeten up the rhubarb and they did.

I think if I were to make only smoothies, the Nutribullet would suffice for me too.
