Well this post may be taken down but here goes.

I feel like I have been taken for a ride - or whatever you want to call it.

Ordered the Diva cookbook and got it and was not what I could use.

Well the total with S&H and tax came to $28.47 well when my refund came

thru it was for $16.52!  I know you don't get the S&H refunded but the book alone was

$21.96 w/o any add-ons.  Taking the refund item and sales tax the $16.52 looks

to me to be a large restocking charge.

Sorry to say QVC will be getting a lot less sales out of me if this is how they play the

return/refund game.  Have been a customer for a number of years but......

I know a number of you will disagree with me but needed to vent.

Whenever possible buy books on Amazon, they are usually cheaper  even if you don't have Prime.

@AZmom did you buy it on easy pay by any chance? Sometimes we don't realise it and billing automaticly goes on easy pay.

You don't get the original s&h refunded, and you also pay for the return s&h (whatever it is for the label at the time).  It has me shopping far less these days!  That's too much money to spend just to see if I will like something.

@AZ Diamondback Mom I'm sorry this happened to you but the refund was correct.

What you paid was $5.00 S&H plus $6.95 for return postage.

Add those together - $11.95 and deduct it from your total - $28.47, and you get your refund - $16.52.

QVC doesn't charge restocking fees. It's just that the shipping both ways gets expensive so it must have seemed that way to you. I know I've become very careful with my ordering since the new policy went into effect. I guess that was the objective for changing it.

Based on what I saw on the boards for a long time, many posters complained often about shipping fees.  So this was the Q's solution.  So it's up to the consumers to decide if they want to have their cake, or eat it.

I would also recommend buying books at Amazon.  I saw a cookbook on ITKWD last night that was a pre-order for 6/21 ship date & it was priced around $15 plus $5 shipping & handling.  I found it at Amazon, same ship date, for less than $14.  I have Prime, so won't pay shipping, but even if I did the total would still be less.  I also had a Meredith Laurence cookbook on pre-order at Amazon & the price dropped since I initially ordered it, so got about $4.50 knocked off the final price when it shipped.  That wouldn't have happened at the Q!

Your return fee was correct as another poster stated. I do admit the new return fees have made me a more hesitant and  "pensive shopper" these days. Is expensive to try before you buy. I do not return much now as I havent bought anything here in over 2 months. It is shocking the costs to return something.

This is their solution to the high return rate.  Yes, we can return, but pretty soon we will have to include our first born child.  I'm mighty careful now days.  My St. Vinny's loves me, lower end items that don't fit just go to them.

Would someone please explain to me the return policy. Returned a $36 item to get a refund of $6.37.  No shipping and handling coming and very little money back. Have returned several items with the same results.  And like someone said, kleenex in the pocket, returned a $59 sweater after calling customer service and got a credit of $9.49. Have become very carful about what I order.
