DH is asking me to make sweet pickles, like the store bought ones.
Every recipe I have searched...has the same ingredients as Bread & Butter! I don't see anything diff that would make them true sweet.
I acutally use a mixture of brown and white sugar in my B&B....but they don't taste like sweet pickles.
Store sweet pickles taste diff IMHO than bread and butter.
Do you have a recipe that is specific to what a store sweet pickle would be? I can't put my finger on the flavor of the sweet pickle, cuz I actually don't like them! LOL
TIA!

Hi!!!!
They are called SWEET GHERKINS
plenty of recipes, I like the one from CDKitchens, it's easy and every day you add sugar for 8 days until you like the sweetness of the pickle. I had to laugh that if you add sugar everyday and keep tasting, by day 8 you jar (at least it would be my jar) would be empty.
Most of the recipes are for actually canning the pickles, not sure if you want to go through all that work.
For those super sweet gherkins, it's Vlasic for me, sorry.

LOL @Just Bling thanks!
I was just seaching for Sweet Pickles not Gherkins! Thanks for your help.
Although I did run across one recipe that was a week's worth of fussing!
I copied CD Kitchens and a Food Network one....
I might give it a go...I might not! LOL
Thanks again!
