Reed & Barton question

I have a set of R&B stainless that I bought from the Q several years ago (probably 6 or 7). It is my everyday stainless and still looks good with the exception of one piece. The small ladle has turned dark - just in the bowl part where the hot liquid would touch.

Does anyone know what might have caused this and how (or if) it can be corrected?
