Recommendations for Knives please.

Really need to replace my knives. Everywhere the reviews are just meh.

The quality for so many kitchen items has diminished over the years.

It has been forever since purchasing any knives and I do cook almost everyday.

Your input or advice would be appreciated.

TIA

Many years ago I bought Wolfgang puck knives with sheild on HSN. They are great

I need new steak knives but I want non-serrated knives. I can find cheap ones that won't last a year but it's hard to find decent quality for reasonable prices.

Re: Recommendations for Knives please.

I've got a set of the Ninja knives with sharpener from QVC.

They're no longer on the Q, but still sold on Amazon.  Just checked and they're selling for 299 now.  Looked up the rating and it had a 4.8 with a 91% satisfaction.  Their set is in black.  Q's set sold in white-only difference.

I've been most satisfied with them.  Only 'con' is they must be hand washed.  Haven't needed to sharpen they yet, but it's an easy process.

Re: Recommendations for Knives please.

I bought the Amazon Basics Color-Coded Dishwasher Safe knife set last year, and it's been fine. It costs all of $12.12 for 6 knives and their protective sheaths. They're still very sharp, and I've had no issues with them at all. At that price, they're too good to pass up. I use the bread knife the most, and it's been great. The knives have a good balance, good hand feel, are sharp, and do what I need at a bargain price. If nothing else, they'd hold you over until you could get something better, but  I have no desire to replace or upgrade them. They're very good knives.

Cutco. Expensive but worth it. Sometimes they have them at Costco.

I have a mish mash of knives--have been happy with the ginzu brand. I do sharpen the other ones often--got a nice set from QVC many years ago that I hand wash that are pretty nice.

Williams Sonoma has Wusthof knife block set of 10 for 275.00.  These are very good knives especially for the every day cook.  I highly recommend them.
