Re: Recommendations For The Best Tasting Green Tea At The Supermarket

Better do some more research, esp. if dealing with oncology. Teas, even green, have been tested for some very serious contaminants. Also the bags. Would list health web-sites here, and more brand names about that, but suspect they wouldn't let the info be printed in this response. Also it's the water that's so impt. Should be totally purified! Easier to get more nutritional content other ways than taking up so much liquid just with commercial teas. I also am searching for new kinds, and using nutri-bullet.

I like Salada and Tazo Zen as well...I only drink decaf coffee or tea and both of these fit the caffeine free bill nicely!Smiley Happy))

Uncle Lee's Tea 100%organic green tea from Walmart, but I agree the taste is all in the brewing. Never boil the water, just bring it to a boil and let it steep for no more than 3 minutes. You could also infuse the green tea in cold water over night and warm it up if you don't like it cold.

I like Genmai-cha which is a green tea with roasted brown rice. it has a rich nutty flavor. I have found it at Cost Plus World Market and at a local Japanese store.

Mighty leaf green tea tropical. Tastes great and it's a whole leaf tea.

Re: Recommendations For The Best Tasting Green Tea At The Supermarket

It seems most tea producers have jumped on the Green Tea band wagon. I have enjoyed Tazo teas, but if you want a true green tea, you should seek out an Asian market. I found one that was superb before green teas became the "thing". It is called Ji Jin Chrysanthemum Green Tea and I have only found it in Asian markets. If you don't have Asian markets, you can find some online, but for the run of the mill grocery store brands, Tazo is a good choice.

Good advice. I'm done with all my treatments and as a matter of fact, today is my 1 year anniversary of my last radiation treatment!!!!{#emotions_dlg.thumbup}I think if anyone is going thru treatment they should ALWAYS ask their medical team before taking anything.
