I have two can openers that really don't work well. One is an old Krups electric can opener, that worked fine at one time, but no longer works to open cans. The other is a Kuhn Rikon I've also had for awhile that came as a set. That one doesn't always works to open cans. I don't like sharp edges when I open cans. I also don't want a large can opener, as I don't have room in my kitchen. What do you recommend?

I tried to open a DelMonte diced tomato can just now, first with the Krups, then with the Kuhn Rikon. I almost cut myself on the tomato can with the Krups, and the can started leaking from the cut, but wouldn't open. I turned the can over, and kept working with the Kuhn Rikon, and the can finally opened.
