My husband's mother has been gone for over 40 years, but he still talks about this dish. I have searched online for recipes, but the few that have come up do not resemble what he remembers. I also remember seeing it, but it frankly looked gross so I never tasted it. It had a soupy yellow base and had hunks of hard boiled eggs, cod, and maybe potatoes floating around in the broth. His family was from Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania. Perhaps it is/was a local dish. Any recipes are appreciated.
