I was going to ask what you were using it for.....I would have substituted ,in cheddar cheese soup , a small amount of cayenne pepper (I don't like heat) or some chili powder.

sorry about that.... its a pain to make something and have it too salary,hot,etc.I hear if you put a potato in it and cook it the potat soaks up salty but I am not for sure. Cheese soup sounds good.
