@debic I used the butter with water thing for a bit, but just did not have the gumption to change out the water all the time, so I started with the butter in silicone sealed containers, and the sticks stay solid, and you just use what you need, at a spreadable consistency, and it is wonderful...I always have 3 sticks at spreadable consistency, and as for the cream cheese, the spreadable that you buy, has other things in it, so I keep a block in the original package, on the counter, so I can use it at any time....Pure cream cheese...Yeah, I am waiting for the nay sayers......The butter is always soft, in the stick form that it comes out of the wrapping in, and never any spoiled or molded cream cheese or butter...The butter does not melt, but stays in the stick form, only soft... so you can measure it out, as with refrigerated. butter.....Woman Happy

I love my butter boat.  I bought it when I first saw them on QVC.  It has red poppies on it.  I've used it most of the time since then.

I still use the original butter boat I got from Qvc.I wonder why they don't sell another version of it.

My daughter makes great bread with the Kitchenaid.I eat it in the morning with butter and jam.

Re: REMEMBER THE BUTTER BOAT?

@grandma2pkmh  You may be able to find individual pieces like the L&L butter holder.  I was able to get one at my local grocery store a few years ago.  They were selling some of the other pieces separately as well.  They haven't carried them in a couple of years now.

Re: REMEMBER THE BUTTER BOAT?

I used to find L&L in quite a few stores in the past. I bought several individual pieces at a local grocery store and I even bought a 20 piece set at JC Penney Home store. Again this was probably 10 to 15 years ago. My up-side down piece works for me.

@forrestwolf  That's interesting.    While I already have the butter boats it would be a good thing for my brother.

Re: REMEMBER THE BUTTER BOAT?

I have one, with the unglazed bottom and use it all the time.  Hey, Forrestwolf!  Nice to "see" you again.  Hope all is well.  Always enjoy your posts.  I don't follow all the latest government standards, either, and try to adhere to family traditions.
