Question for Zhills re: Garlicky Parmesan & Rosemary Roasted Chickpeas

Hi Zhills! Do the chickpeas come out crunchy and served as an appetizer? Or are they served as a side dish? Thanks.

Re: Question for Zhills re: Garlicky Parmesan & Rosemary Roasted Chickpeas

They come out crunchy like chips for a snack. I have directions for several flavors of these. I really enjoy them. Hope you do!

Thanks. Seems lke a HEALTHY snack, too! Definitely will be making them later this evening-- watching the Packers-Lions game right now. Would you share the other flavors when you have the time? Thanks again.

These sound divine! Can you post the recipe? It doesn't come up in a search.

Garlicky Parmesan & Rosemary Roasted Chickpeas

Ingredients:
2 (14.5 Oz.) Cans Chickpeas/Garbanzo Beans, drained, rinsed & dried
2 Tbsp. Shredded Dry Parmesan
1 Tsp. Dried Crushed Rosemary
1 Garlic Clove, Minced
1/8 Tsp. Garlic Powder
Salt & Pepper to Taste

Directions:
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. and line a baking sheet with foil. Give the foil a light spritz of some non-stick cooking spray and set aside.

Toss the chickpeas and the rest of the ingredients together in a large bowl until they are all well and evenly coated.
Arrange the garbanzo beans onto the baking sheet in a single layer and give them a little spritz of non-stick cooking spray.
Place the sheet into the preheated oven and bake for 30-40 minutes or until the chickpeas are crisp.
Carefully remove the sheet from the oven and set aside to cook slightly before serving.

Here are some others ...

X Spicy Oven-Roasted Chickpeas
about 2 cups

1 15 ounce can organic chickpeas
1 tablespoon of olive oil
1 tablespoon chunky sea salt
2 teaspoons spice like
garam masala

Heat the oven 400°F. Pour the chickpeas into a colander and drain and rinse very well under running water. Pat dry.

Toss the chickpeas with the olive oil and spread out on a large cookie sheet. Roast for 30-40 minutes or until brown and crispy. Turn and stir every ten minutes so they don't burn.

Take out and toss to taste with salt and spices.

Re: Question for Zhills re: Garlicky Parmesan & Rosemary Roasted Chickpeas

Thanks for all the chickpea ideas, Zhills! I love them. As an FYI, I've sautéed them, drain on paper towel, then tossed in spices. Combine w/ salad greens (or arugula), tomato & chopped cukes. Drizzle with tzatziki or tahini dressing and stuff a pita - kind of a faux falafel sandwich.

TY again!
