Will I compromise the taste or texture if I bake a pumpkin pie a day ahead and refridgerate it?

Not in my experience.

I don't think it will be a problem. I'd eat it!

No, pumpkin pie should always be made the day before. It is not a pie that is served warm like apple and tastes better when served cold.
I always make my pumpkin pies the day before I serve them.

Thanks, everyone! I'm having company tomorrow and my toddler granddaughter will be here with me, so I'm trying to do everything possible ahead of time.

I would say no. The ladies in my family all bring pies, some are pumpkin (we end up with a lot of pie!). I'm sure the pumpkins are baked and refrigerated the day before.

You'll be fine. You might get a very small amount of moisture collected on the top, but no one will know when the whipped cream covers it up. I'm buying my pie at Costco this year, picking it up Wednesday morning.

I think it will tast even better. Love pumpkin pie drowning in Cool Whip.
