The reason the vendors get cut off so the host can go over colors and numbers sold was mentioned in a couple of articles. The producer in the host's ear knows when sales spike in real time, and they always spike when, you got it, the host goes over colors, and when the number of items sold are announced. It's sales, and it must be working very well or they'd change their presentation tactics.

Laura was good and she did show how to use the products in many ways. The new lady, while nice, is about her recipes-or David makes it about her recipes.

I emailed the Q about Laura and received a response ( guess I could have made my inquiry in a softer way) :

AS A CUSTOMER FOR NEARLY 30 YEARS I HAVE GROWN ACCUSTOMED TO YOUR VENDOR REPS.  I SO LOVED LAURA WEATHERS WHO BROUGHT US KITCHENAID.  WHILE I RESPECT HER PRIVACY, IT WOULD HAVE BEEN APPROPRIATE FOR YOU TO TELL US SHE WOULD NO LONGER BE ON THE Q.  COULD YOU NOT HAVE TOLD HER FOLLOWERS WHAT WAS HAPPENING?  DID SHE RETIRE?  Why wasn't she given a sendoff?  I would very much appreciate an answer, not just an acknowledgement of my email.

Laura is gone.  We do not know why, and we never will.  The decision could have been hers, QVC's, or KitchenAid's.  She is not coming back.  Accept it.

As far as the presentations, QVC is not here to teach us ro cook.  It is here to sell things.  Part of the sales presentations much include repetitive mentions of colors, features, price, etc., as people are constantly tuuning into the presentations.  (The world does not watch TV on your schedule.)

If you want to learn to cook, use the product, get more information, etc., use the computer in front of you (the one you frequently use to complain about QVC and how it does not operate the way you want it to ) and look up the information.  Problem solved.

I haven't had any problems with the demos from the new rep. YouTube has tons of hands on demos with reviews without the sales pitch.

@KYToby So, since I can see color for myself Look up prices from many different sellers, and  watch Demos on the web, You are telling me there really is NO reason to watch QVC at all.

Didn't she have a Pinterest or FB page? I don't think she was actually that old as she spoke about her teenaged son. I liked her too and felt she knew her products well.
