Just ordered two sets of the wooden paddles and the shipping was $5.50 per set. No discount for ordering a second set as some shopping chanels give you and I fail to see how QVC can charge that much for light weight wooden kitchen utensils and $3 shipping for a heavy Logo dress?????

Come on QVC, get it together and give your customers incentives to want to order. I only bought these because I have a set and think they are great. But it really turns me off to know that I am paying a ridiculous amount of money, $5.50 shipping on a $24.00 item.

That usually stops me in my tracks.  I looked at something this morning that was $12 with $5.50 s/h.  I wanted to buy two.  Once in the cart, I couldn't push the button.

As to the subject of those wooden utensils - Doesn't it seem like a very bad idea to use PAINTED wood for utensils?

I'm not against wood utensils.  I have quite a few olive wood utensils and they are not only wonderful but they last forever and a day.

But having them painted - I was watching some of that presentation and, while they looked kind of cool, I just couldn't see it.

I realized that for me, where I live on the W. Coast, our tax is just about 10%. QVC taxes the s+h....so, $5.50 for s+h ends up being OVER $6.00 s+h per item. No can do.

Q seems to charge about 20% to 30% for s+h on items, or more.

Who on earth would even consider ordering an item with that much S&H?  Glad to see so many of you realizing what a ripoff this is.

I think QVC stopped discounting S/H when they dropped the cost of S/H on all beauty products to $3.00. I also find that I won't buy an item due to te S/H cost. PA. also taxes for that. Evine has really high S/H.

Brandiwine, you are so right. I should not have ordered them, but I do think they are a good product. I am ordering less and less from the Q these days and maybe if we all complain about the shipping more, they will start listening. Dropping shipping to $3 on all beauty products is not a big deal. Most make-up items are small and weigh nothing. I can take my business to amazon or ebay.

That is exactly why I didn't order them!  I wanted the natural set (and probably would've ordered multiple sets) but the S&H is outrageous.  That's one of the first things I look at when deciding whether or not to order from Q.
