@KatieB Possibly. Uncalled for at least. We're just chatting here, no reason to embarrass someone is there?

@Sooner I agree there is no reason to purposely embarrass anyone. That's definitely not what I was doing or wanted to do. I wanted to point out that those words (that phrase) was incorrect. There is a big difference in the words, "your" and "you're" - two different meanings.

@KatieB I'm with @Sooner on this. I was actually upset by your post. You may think you are helping someone but I see it as embarrassing or making fun of them. I felt very bad for the person you called out. You have no way of knowing how she felt but I doubt it was happy that you posted this.

@proudlyfromNJ Sorry you feel that way. I had no intention of embarrassing anyone or making fun of them. Like I said, I would want to be corrected (and sometimes it is embarrassing). I realize no two people are alike, but I'm just going by how I would feel.

To me what is worse is the scolding handed out to the OP for absolutely no reason, merely failing to remember a TSV from 18 years ago. Tres bizarre.

@banned again I'm amazed you remembered this. ![]()

@KatieB Isn't the point that you weren't thinking of how someone else would feel?

Your welcome
@SharkE What does 'Your welcome' mean.
Just a short English lesson: I believe the correct word to use would be the word "you're", which is an abbreviation for the two words, you and are. The word your is a possessive pronoun, as in the sentence 'Is that your handbag?' or 'What is your name?'.
You're welcome.
@KatieB : Let me share my opinion. I live in Georgia. Born and raised in the South. Some regions have a different way of talking or pronunciation of certain words or phrases. Proper English : One can know what is correct but still prefer home town language. So many of us share on the various forums to escape from daily stress in hope of finding friends, or something to make us giggle or smile. Ok, Y'all that's my two cents worth.
