I am considering getting a Q Card to take advantage of the $5.00 first order credit and also $10.00 E Gift Card being offered today for each purchase on the Q Card.  Is it worthwhile getting the card and is it a safe card to use?  HELP - ASAP Please!

Re: Q Card - Worthwhile & Safe?

I'm sure it is safe but have you checked their interest rates and terms?  Also, be careful about how many credit cards you currently have because it effects your FICO score.  It may not be worth the few dollars you are saving.

Re: Q Card - Worthwhile & Safe?

@Winkk - Thanks for the quick answer.  I only have 2 credit cards.

My concern about the card is the sharing of info that the terms say. I know their interest rate is very high and would use it sparingly and pay it off each month so as not to accrue interest.  Maybe I'll just pass.  Being retired and on a fixed income I don't want my FICO to be affected.

Re: Q Card - Worthwhile & Safe?

It's as safe as any other credit card. You receive the incentives when you first get the card but after that no more incentives. With HSN & Evine card they have free shipping offers, % off or certain amount off using their card. I use them to take advantage of the incentives plus I don't have to list another card on these sites to use. Qvc, HSN & Evine all make a % off the cards for the accounts they open for the bank. Just make sure you pay the balance in full each month since their interest rate is highway robbery IMO.

The Q card is managed by Synchrony Bank which just skirts the law between ethical and not.  I had a card with Evine which they also handle and in 3 months they made a total mess of my account.  I cut the card up and would not consider using the account again.   The interest rate is atrocious.

@WORKING GAL

wow $10 each item bought (Seems too good to be true! I know they were giving $5 statement credit) That's an incentive to buy more than one needs I'm sure.  Never trust what the "hosts" say they are promoting the Q card for sure!

I did the Q card and took advantage of the promo. I still like using my reg credit card because I get rewards but I've never had a problem.

Re: Q Card - Worthwhile & Safe?

I guess it is safe.  I had one several years ago, but prefer to use another card that gives points for cash back.  I don't care to use easy pay, so no need to use the Q card.   They sure are pushing it now.

@Kachina624 I don't know what's ethical or not with Synchrony Bank. I have a few cards thru them & never had any problems. I pay my balance in full each month so not worried about their ridiculous interest rate.

Re: Q Card - Worthwhile & Safe?

I posted earlier I stand corrected (I don't know why it didn't post). This AM I got the email stating if you used your Qcard on any item during Mary's show 4/1 you'd receive a $10 gc for each item.

Sorry, if there was confusion from my post. I don't need anymore kitchen (or anything else from Q) at this time. That was a pretty good incentive to use a Qcard I think.
