Amazon says 8.3 pounds shipping weight, so certainly around 8 pounds. It is heavy enough to stay put when you place it.

The glass ones are heavy duty and not heavy.  Covers whole stove.

Not much money either. Plus they just wash off.

Re the coconut oil for conditioning the cutting board..even though it's "food safe" ..Wouldn't it go rancid on the board???isnt that why we use mineral oil?
