Two plates that I purchased had price stickers that I removed by soaking in hot water. Now I cant get the glue off from the sticker.  Any ideas?  Thanks

Try rubbing the sticky mess with any kitchen oil or peanut butter or mayo.  Usually comes right off.

Isopropyl alcohol should work.  Probably something that everybody has in their medicine cabinet.  Smiley Happy

White vinegar (rub with a scrub brush) (this idea was posted on Pinterest and I used it because Goo Gone didn't work this time)

Any solvent like paint thinner or fingernail polish remover.

Acetone from a hardware store.  Caution, it really smells and you would want to use it in a Very Well Ventilated area.

Scrub Daddy advertises that they work with warm soap and water.  I have never tried it though.
