Re: Pre-Heating an Air Fryer

When I first started using my air fryer I never bothered to preheat.  Things didn't turn out as I expected either.  Once I began doing this, I could immediately tell a difference in how the food turned out--perfectly.  Now I always pre heat.  Even if it's food in a bag or box that doesn't mention preheating, I look it up on the internet.  So far so good.

Re: Pre-Heating an Air Fryer

I never preheat my air fryer and never have any problems. Perhaps it depends on the style of air fryer? I can see how it might be more necessary to preheat a "toaster oven" version rather than the barrel version I have.

May I ask which air fryer you have?

The one I have seems to be hauntedWoman Wink. It turns on and off by itself. I fear it's not safe, and I don't leave it plugged in. Anywhoo, I am starting to look for another.

Sure its a gourmia 7 quart I got from costco.  I had one that was also a grill it was very heavy so about a year ago I got this one, I am happy with it.
