PowerXL 1550W 6-qt Grill Air Fryer

I bought this for a Christmas gift for my sis when it was the TSV.  I'm not seeing any reviews & Google isn't showing much either.  Anybody get this and used it yet?  Thank you for any honest input!

@BornToShop   Something's funny about this item.  First the 5-digit item number.  Second, there are no reviews or any provision for posting any.  It doesn't mean there's something wrong with the product but they may have had some special contract for selling it.  It apparently is not a normal part of QVC stock.  It's not currently available.

Did you check Amazon for reviews?

Re: PowerXL 1550W 6-qt Grill Air Fryer

I just used mine for the first time. I really like it so far it did great on my hamburgers, did not dry it out. I have the ninja dual air fyrer, the ninja xl air fyrer, i have the orginal ninja air fyrer. All the others that i have seem to dry out the hamburgers, not this one. The one thing i don't like is i am short so when i raise the handle it it quiet a stretch for me so i wear a long arm oven mitt. I bought it for the slow cook feature with i will be trying soon. Oh also it has a annoying beep when you set the tempture and time, like a beep for every number. Other then that i like it so far. Hope this helps.

Is that the one Eric is pushing?  I don't pay attention cuz I have enough "toys".

@Kachina624  No reviews on Amazon either but listed at $187.00, wow!    My sis really wants an air fryer, there are so many but I'll see if any other buyers of this TSV report their thoughts. I don't have to return it until 1/31/21. N

Re: PowerXL 1550W 6-qt Grill Air Fryer

@BornToShop,  I've received this but have only used it a couple of times since it arrived early this week.

I've only used the air fryer mode and am pleased.  Your sister should like it but she may have a learning curve when it comes to determining air frying and grilling times.

If tomorrow goes as planned (disclaimer:  I plan, God laughs) I will be trying the grill feature.  I'll post my thoughts about how my food turns out.

One big plus is this unit is extremely easy to clean and I especially like that I can readily wipe down the fan cover.

I bought this and I'm not sure I will be keeping it.  There were a few reviews before I got mine but they are gone.  I have grilled two steaks.  When you start it it just says it is preheating.  It does not say for how long.  Then it beeps and says to add food.  Tonight I put the food in and it still says add food.  I changed the timer and it did nothing.  The entire time it said to add food.  It states you can set your own time and temperature but it doesn't say how.  And the AF lid doesn't fit very well.  My two steaks had no grill marks at all.

It is also very tall with the air fryer up.  That doesn't fit under my cabinets.

I do own the Ninja AF and it's great except it is too small.  If they just made the same thing bigger it would be the best.

@Chloe55,  when you are grilling once you adjust the time and/or temperature if you want the time and temperature displayed press start again and the display will change from add food to the current settings.

Yes, with the lid up it is tall, about 22 inches.  It does, however, fit comfortably under my cabinets with enough room to safely use the handle to open and close the lid.

Although my experimentation has been limited so far I have figured out that if in doubt after making a change to time/temp pressing the start button assures the changes are activated.

Don't be afraid to "play" with it.  If you program something that you are not happy with either manually reset or press cancel and start over.

ETA:  At 375 it takes about 3 +/- minutes to preheat.  I do not yet know how long it takes at higher temperatures.

The lid is designed with a little side to side "wiggle room" but when closed it is a tight fit as no heat escapes from between the bottom of the lid and the unit.
