Mmmm...potatoes!

I also pretty much love them all.   But the potato salad would have to go - gross with mayo and eggs in there.    ewwwwwwwww

I'd also let the vodka go but if I had to consume one of the two, I would definitely choose the vodka and I don't really even drink at all.

I really do love potatoes, though.   I recently purchased these frozen french fries to which I'm addicted.  They come in a brown bag with 'IDAHO' on the bag really large and are 'extra crunchy crinkle cut'.   I put a handful of those in a baggie, little olive oil, zip it up and shake shake shake.  Spread out on baking sheet and hit with a little kosher salt.  So good!  Of course, I must have my Del Monte Ketchup.

Ah @chickenbutt  my friend, are their frozen fries really that much better (and to be honest worth the extra $$$'s)?  To be honest I have been trying to find them around here but haven't had much luck but I am constantly in the search for the best frozen french fry.

And how does Ru feel about them? . . . Smiley Happy

Hey, Chloe's Mom!  Long time no see.  Hope you are well.

I am absolutely in love with these fries.  I just went to my frreezer, where I have a bag, to look at the name because I keep forgetting it.

It says 'Lamb Weston' on the top and 'grown in Idaho', in addition to 'extra crispy crinkle cut'.     IMO, they are definitely superior.    The instructions just have you to put them on a baking sheet and in the oven, but I like to toss them with just a smidge of olive oil, then kosher salt, first.

They have a little bit of something on the outside that probably contributes to the crispiness, but all I taste is potato and that's what I like.   About 19 minutes in the convection oven and they come out perfect.

I have purchased them at Raley's (a west coast chain) and also SaveMart, which is a company that seems to have bought out all the Albertson's stores here.    Haven't looked beyond that.

As for Ru - the boy doesn't get stuff like that but I'm pretty sure he would like them, too!  Smiley Happy  He will be 8 on the 22nd!   Wow, crazy eh?

ETA - I see that Safeway and Target also sells them.  On the website you can put in your zip code to see who sells them in your area.

Glad to help! Smiley Happy  I always love talking with you.  I don't spend as much time here as I used to because - well, that's probably not hard to figure out.  Too much of people who come here for the express purpose of being rude.   I don't care for rude people and will not get into it with that.

Now, don't forget, to make them better, toss with a splash of olive oil (or whatever oil you like) and hit them with a little salt before putting them in.  Smiley Happy   Of course, for me, Del Monte Ketchup is a must.

The odd thing is that my main store (Raley's) doesn't carry Del Monte Ketchup anymore (at least the one closest to me - new mgmt, though, and they have pulled lots of things).  I tried Heinz and that just tastes like vinegar.   The Del Monte tastes like tomatoes with the vinegar in the back.

Hee!  @chickenbutt  it is always great to chat with you too my friend.  I am now intrigued with Del Monte ketchup as my go to has always been Trader Joe's.  Please know since I moved I act like TJ's is on the other end of the planet when it probably is closer than it was to my previous abode but I have to cross over pesky railroad tracks and if you don't time it right you can be sitting there for a looooooooooong time.

I have to stalk these fries and since I am one of those air fryer afficiandos I can't wait to plunk a bag of them in said fryer!

Thanks again for your help my friend.  Glad to see all is well with you and yours including my fave rave Ru!  Heart

I love them all, but not the vodka.  Vodka taste like licking a hospital floor.  I've had expensive, cheap, and middle-quality vodka.  It all tastes like rubbing alcohol smells.

I'm eating mashed potatoes with pork chops in mushroom and Vidalia onion gravy.

I don't care for vodka straight, but there's nothing like a really well made Bloody Mary (in my opinion).

I had my first taste of a Bloody Mary today.  It was good, but the tomato juice would give me heartburn.

Re: Potato Question, Just For Fun

I guess it is like a hashbrown, But grate the potatoes and put an egg or I like to use egg beaters to be safe and flour to bind plus salt and pepper and sometimes i put a little garlic powder or chives and place a little sour cream or just a sprinkle of salt. My kids always like jelly on them, strawberry or grape . I like to serve them with canned tomato soup. So Delicious.

I really like tater tots also. They are my go to instead of mashed potato's , so good with meatballs and gravy. Gravy is a good sauce for them.
