Poodlepet - remember your post about Thermos?

And it led me to a Thermos French Press Coffee maker? Well, DH is in love. {#emotions_dlg.laugh}

Not only makes stellar coffee for him, but keeps it hot for quite a while. He can get a little more than 3 "man-size" mugs from it.

So see what your little question led to? Wink One of the reasons I love these boards, get new ideas every day.

I love these boards too- for that reason! It can get expensive though. I will have to check out this French Press. About two years ago, I thought my Keurig was dying ( she is still very much alive), and I had been reading negative comments. I decided I needed a backup, so I bought a French Press. Is the coffee as smooth as they say? Poodlepet

I'm not a coffee drinker, so asked husband. He said it's not so much smoother, but stronger. Also said it depends on the coffee you use, he grinds his own beans. He did mention you have to push the plunger veryyyy slowly in order not to get a lot of grounds in the bottom.
