Also miss desserts done table side - bananas foster, crepe Suzette, cherries jubilee, etc.

Re: Plop a fried egg on it, why don't ya?

I have seen fried egg on burgers, noodles, pizza, sandwiches.  Even more than that I notice BACON, and DUCK fat.  Holy Tamole.  Since when is it trendy to put duck fat and bacon on everything.  I don't eat meat, so I notice bacon.

I think the FN has stock in the bacon business, no kidding. Bacon in candy, ice cream, pastries, bacon on bacon, pickled bacon,  bacon baskets,  I cannot stand the smell of bacon. As for doing duck fat, I love duck.  But the fat?  OMG, it is greasy, and heavy, and smelly...no thanks.

I did them the same year I did the Bugles stuffed and rolled in sprinkles to look like tiny ice cream cones! The kids LOVED them!

Re: Plop a fried egg on it, why don't ya?

New restaurant opened near me, so we all went to brunch Saturday.  One woman ordered the breakfast pizza.  Perfect pizza crust topped with a bit of tomato sauce, lots of wonderful fresh mozzarella and in the center of it all 3 or 4 sunny side up eggs baked right into the concoction.  Had we known, it would have easily fed 4 of us - and it was gorgeous to look at and even better to eat.

I've loved soft-boiled egg on toast for years, so I think this is definitely a food fad I can embrace.  I'll be trying it in my own kitchen.
