I was just watching the Temp-tations program and noticed that they were offering a set of cow bakers for $28 and change on a clearance price. That same set was a TSV back last spring and was offered at $39 and change. I know I have heard many many times, when a TSV is presented (not just TT, but any product) that this TSV price is the lowest price that the product will ever be offered.
Does anyone know why they do this, then on down the road they offer the same product on lunchtime special, last clicks or clearance, for significantly less than the TSV. Seems to be less than honest to me. I know that the TSV price is often times only a couple of dollars less than what a product will be the next day, but to outright lie about it being the lowest price ever to be offered seems like a poor business decision when customers see it offered cheaper later on.
Am I off base about the claim of a TSV being the lowest price, cause I'd swear I've heard it a million times? I did call cusomer service and they said that sometime a product is offered less than the TSV price if they want to clear it out. I'll think twice before buying a TSV the next time.
