For every-day use, I think they're great. Wouldn't use them at a formal occasion, of course.

I never use plastic wine glasses. For big parties I either rent glasses or buy inexpensive ones, and store them in a box.

we have some plastic wine glasses at our beach condo......they are great to take down to the beach or by the pool instead of taking our GOOD wine glasses .

I have plastic margarita glasses, wine glasses, and martini glasses for use by the water. Who wants broken glass when people are running around in their bare feet? The plastic glasses are very festive-looking now, as they come in pretty summer colors and they keep my good glasses for indoor use only.
