Did a little research. Went online and, much to my surprise, I did not see one loaf of bread - or bread in general - placed on anything other than a cutting board.
Whew! Well, that takes care of that!
Appreciate eveyone's input.

For future reference you can buy rectangle doilies in the Wilton cake section of Michaels or Joann. It's never recommended to cut bread on any kind of paper. You can get small pieces in the bread. I like to put a doilie on a nice serving plate and put the sliced bread on it. Just a thought
