What's those green specks in pizza that gives it a distinctive taste?

I researched it and it's oregano or basil or parsley. I bought a bottle of Italian Seasoning today, but, it's got sage in it.

It is most likely Oregeno  or general italian seasoning Ask the place where you got the pizza

Perhaps fennel -my relative had pizza business and that's what they used.  Does it taste like pine or something very different from normal Italian seasoning.  Small green rather hard - - fennel.

Penzeys has a pizza seasoning mix with salt, fennel seed, oregano, sugar, garlic, black pepper, basil, onion and red pepper.

Sounds good. Don't need any salt LOL PIzza, is salty enough.

I called CS at Ruffles chips to find out if they made a no salt or lower sodium Ruffles chip.

No, but, she said they would pass it along. LOL

Chips, today, are just loaded with salt. I get Pringles lightly salted or that Lays brand.  Wish Ruffles would get up to date.

I think it's oregano.  I put it on years ago when I'd make my own pizza.

@fthunt    Fennel is usually an ingredient of Italian sausage, and has a very mild licorice-type flavor.     (I LOVE Italian sausage.......but eat it sparingly due to the high fat content.)   di
