Re: Pioneer Woman's next move.... I think it's unwise.

I got tired of Rachel Ray and now I'm tired of The Pioneer Woman. Someone else will come along.

I don't care for her show, but I ike some of her things at Walmart.

I enjoy watching Ree's show and her family.  I wish her all the best in her new ventures.  I've made many of her recipes.  I would love to go visit her ranch and new store.

agree.  It's like the Fixer Upper people.  They talk about spending so much time with their family, but are now expanding into all kinds of retail projects bearing their name, etc.  I would think these people are making enough money and still have a life, but I guess it's a competition about who can get the most exposure.  Eventually, this usually results in a change in their life when they become "stars."

As someone else stated; she has this and that project plus married into old money. So my question is: How much money do you need to be happy? Is she THAT bored? Whatever floats your boat but I often wonder about the "why".

Do you think that everyone only works to earn money and once they have a set amount they should just quit? She can't possibly be doing what she does because it brings her joy?

I would hope it brings her joy. My point was "why"...think about how much is on her plate as it stands....family, the ranch, the show, the cookbook, her vlog, her Walmart line; how much TIME does a person have to do all this? Or maybe it isn't her at all but, as others have stated, just her face or name and in comes the checks.

There's "joy" and then there's "I NEED to be #1 at all costs". I don't believe you can have it all. Nope. SOMETHING has to give/suffer. But whatever, it's her life, her choices.

Oh, and I sincerely doubt she would be doing all of this for free, so yeah, money IS a big part of it.

We will be going to the mercantile for a second time in June when we can also visit the lodge.  We live in Tulsa so it is less than 2 hours to get there.  She has a lovely  bakery upstairs with all kinds of treats. Downstairs is the restaurant and shop.  The family is frequently there and last time we Saw Ladd and Todd and Paige.

I think the ranch would get old pretty quick!  LOL!!!  Check out the scenery--it's all the same.  Miles and miles of hills and few trees.  Old barns, cows and a few horses.  But if you love prairie grasses, then you'll be in heaven!  LOL!!!

I believe the visit is to the Lodge, the guest house where she films. I don't think there will be riding or wandering around the ranch itself.

Ree's Tops/blouses

I've scanned the internet for her tops, most of which are 'peasnt' tops.  Anyone have a clue where she buys hers?
