Thank you all for your input.  Went to Williams Sonoma today to look at the machine and really liked it.  So I went home and ordered a reconditioned one from Amazon.  It's the original digital model.  It's factory certified and comes with 90 days warranty.  I figured whatever was wrong with it was fixed by experts and I hope I will love it as much as you all do.  Will probably make roasted cauliflower sometime this week.

I just noticed that QVC has this very same Phillips air fryer for $299.00 plus $17.00 shipping.  The same model costs only $245.00 and no shipping at Williams Sonoma, Amazon, and HSN.
