I mean really, that poor woman was destroyed financially for being honest and admitting something that had happened years before that probably all of us have done at one time or another if we are completely honest. It's not like she is some horrible monster and I don't feel she deserved what she has gotten. I wish her the best. The story was never even very clear on the whole situation of a racial slur. I am not in the least predjudice, but I am not a judgmental person and everybody deserves a second chance except murderers and molesters.

Bravo Cookie06 - Completely agree. It was a complete witch hunt. She deserves a second chance and I wish her well.

I kind of thought that she would have somewhat adjusted her brand for this comeback. She hid her diabetes while pushing comical amounts of butter and sugar in her cooking shows. It seems she is coming back full force pushing the same types of unhealthy items. Yes, I know that she is known for her rich, southern foods, and we all have free will, and I'm not the food police, blah, blah, blah. However I find her decision to go back to selling the same unhealthy foods very incongruous with her health revelation. If I saw a commercial featuring someone with lung cancer promoting cigarettes, I might question the ethics of the seller.

I know back then it seemed like some retailers were taking her items off the shelf. I never saw that in our town. All the stores were carrying her cookware and it was selling just fine. I agree with the poster who commented on her honesty. I would rather see that then someone who embellishes a story (i.e. Bryan Williams).
