Victoza (liragliptide) was approved approximately one year ago by the FDA. Paula Deen said she was diagnosed three years ago. How long was this $$$$ mega money deal in the works? Did that have anything to do with her delay in informing the public? Did her contract with Food Network have anything to do with her delay in informing the public? Victoza, according to my primitive research, can cost up to $499.00, that's maximum dose and I don't know how long that would last. It is not a first line drug in treating Type 2 Diabetes.

I'm hoping she can turn this questionable episode in her life into something good and get people eating healthier in this country. Bettty Ford brought breast cancer out of the darkness. Let's hope Paula takes this opportunity to educate people. The episode the Today Show chose to show yesterday was macaroni and cheese wrapped in bacon, then deep fried. Totally over the top, we deserve better.
